Monochrome I

Monochrome I is a massive monochrome sculpture constructed from salvaged aluminum boats. Commissioned by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in 2010, the first iteration was assembled on-site at Beverly Hills Gagosian’s new 5,000-square-foot expansion before it was permanently relocated on the grounds of Buffalo AKG’s museum in Buffalo, New York, the following year.
