Studio
With a bi-coastal arrangement between Los Angeles and New York City, Nancy Rubins works with an administrative team, dedicated engineers, and outstanding studio crew to help realize her visions.
AMANDA MILLET-SORSA Executive Director Amanda was introduced to Nancy Rubins in New York by the studio's former Executive Director, Yayoi Shionoiri, and felt a kinship with the sculptor’s artistic universe. An artist herself, Amanda has honed her expertise to stewarding artists’ legacies. She has worked with the David Smith Estate, the Merrill Wagner Studio, the Theodore Roszak Estate, and the Alain Kirili Estate, and has been based in Manhattan since 2011. Amanda is also an arts writer, lecturer, and panelist, and is a member of AICA-USA. Her writing has appeared in The Brooklyn Rail and Gagosian Quarterly, among other publications, and recordings of her conversations with artists are available through the New Social Environment. She holds a BA from Brandeis University and an MFA from the New York Studio School.
